Inventure Designs

Inventure Designs is on the second floor of the Old Mission Compound Road building at 135/1, right on Lalbagh Road. It’s a busy area and the stairs up to the office are a bit steep. Once you get up here, it’s a fairly open space where we do all our planning. We’ve got a view of the street which can be distracting sometimes with all the people moving around. We don't really go for the corporate look. There are rolls of paper in the corners and samples of wood and stone scattered on the tables. We spend a lot of time on the phone with vendors or sitting in traffic trying to get to site inspections. Lalbagh Road is central so it’s easy to get to different parts of the city, even if the traffic is bad. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The building is a bit older but it has character. We do a lot of our work right here on the second floor, drafting and talking through ideas. Sometimes we disagree on how something should look and we have to hash it out over some tea. It’s a very collaborative way of doing things. We don't follow any strict rules or mission statements. We just look at the space we’re working with and try to make it work for the person living there. It’s a lot of trial and error and making sure the final result is what was expected. Usually we close up the office around seven.
