Interior Designer & Technical Assistant

Down here in Devanachikkanhalli, specifically in the Yellappa Reddy Layout, is where we set up. We call ourselves Interior Designer & Technical Assistant because that’s exactly what we do. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking numbers to make sure things fit where they’re supposed to. The office is at number 41426. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s home for us. We spend a lot of time looking at floor plans and talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit much, but you get used to it. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people. It’s just a small team trying to get the job done right the first time. Technical drawings take up most of our day. We deal with the practical side of making a room work, like where the plugs go and how the cabinets should open. It’s not always the exciting part of design, but it’s the part that makes a house actually liveable. We have a few samples sitting around, mostly tiles and wood bits. People drop by to ask questions about their renovations. We give them straight answers. The layout here in Yellappa Reddy is growing fast, so there’s always something new happening nearby. We just keep our heads down and keep drafting. It’s good work and we just keep doing it here for the neighborhood.
