Our place is located right near the railway line in Govindpura, specifically in the Munisawammappa Garden area near Arabic College. It is a unique spot at No. 9, and you can often hear the trains passing by while we are working. We are in the business of packing up people's lives and moving them to new places, whether it is just down the street or to a completely different state. Moving is a messy, tiring job, and we are the ones who show up with the tape, the newspaper, and the heavy-duty boxes. We spend our days wrapping plates, dismantling beds, and figuring out how to fit a giant cupboard through a small door. It is physical work and we definitely feel it by the end of the shift. We aren't some big corporate chain with a fancy call center. When you talk to us, you are talking to the same people who are likely to be loading the truck. We know this neighborhood well, from the narrow lanes to the main roads. Sometimes we get stuck in traffic or have to deal with a sudden rainstorm, but that is just part of being a mover in this city. We don't make big promises or use any polished language. We just show up, do the heavy lifting, and try to make sure everything gets to the new house in one piece. It is honest work and it keeps us very busy.
