Ink Makers

Down at 535/1/8 on the 4th Cross in Bilekahalli, you will find Ink Makers. It is a bit of a hidden spot if you aren't looking for it. The place usually smells a bit like chemicals and paper, which I guess is expected for what we do here. We have been working out of this space for quite a while now. The 4th cross can get a bit cramped with parked bikes, but we manage to get our supplies in and out. Most of the day is spent checking machines and making sure the ink is flowing right. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and my hands usually have some stains on them by the time I head home. We get a variety of people stopping by with different needs. Some just want a small thing done, others have bigger orders that take us a couple of days to finish. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the table. There isn't a lot of room for sitting around. The building is just a standard Bilekahalli structure, nothing fancy or modern about it. We like it that way because it feels like a real workshop. When the power goes off, we just take a break and sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s just the daily routine for us.
