Our office is right here in Malleshwaram, at 101 Pranaya Apartments on 16th Cross. It’s a busy little stretch between 6th and 8th Main Road. If you know Bangalore 560055, you know the streets are lined with trees and there’s always something going on nearby. We’ve been at this spot for Ingersoll Rand Company for quite some time now. The apartment building isn't new, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out during the monsoon season. We share the space with a lot of regular residents, so we try to be quiet when we’re moving stuff around in the hallways. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a lot of manuals for the machines, and piles of invoices. It’s a bit cramped if more than three people are standing in the same spot, but it works for us. We don’t have a receptionist or any of that. If you knock on the door, one of us will just get up and open it. We usually have the radio playing low in the background while we sort through the orders. The layout is a bit odd because it was meant to be a living space, but we’ve made it work for the business. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we just take the stairs. It’s a practical place for practical people who just want to get through the day’s tasks without a lot of ceremony.
