Our institute is tucked away in the Bangalore Palace Compound on Jayamahal Road, right across from the Darga. It’s a pretty unique spot to be in because of all the history around the palace grounds. We spend our days here focusing on Ayurvedic medicine and researching different herbs and treatments. It’s a quiet place compared to the rest of the city, which helps when you’re trying to study old texts or prepare traditional remedies. We have students coming in and out for classes, and there is usually a smell of dried plants or oils in the air. The buildings are older, and they have that classic feel that goes along with the type of medicine we teach. We aren't trying to be a modern glass-and-steel hospital; it’s more about the traditional ways of healing. People often wander in because they are visiting the palace area and see our sign. We have a small garden where we grow some of the plants we use for research. It’s a lot of work to keep everything organized, from the library to the lab areas. We’ve been here near Jayamahal Road for a long time, and the location feels like a part of our identity. It’s a very grounded place where we just focus on the ancient science of health without much fuss.
