IMac India Coach Builders is situated over on Mysore Road. Specifically, we are at 129/1B1 in the industrial area of Kengeri. We are quite easy to spot because we are right near the BMTC Depot 12. Being close to the bus depot makes sense for us because we are in the business of building coaches. You can hear the sound of welding and metalwork from the street most days. Our facility is quite large because you need a lot of space to put together a full-sized bus or coach. It’s a noisy, busy place with a lot of movement. Trucks are always coming in with parts and finished frames are being moved around. It’s not a clean-office environment; it’s a workshop through and through. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of grease and dust around. We don't wear suits here; we wear heavy-duty clothes because the work is physical. The Mysore Road traffic is always heavy, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have a small office area for the paperwork, but most of the action is out in the bays where the coaches are being assembled. We have a team of guys who have been doing this for a long time. It’s a lot of hard work, but we just keep at it day after day. It is a solid, no-nonsense kind of place to work.
