We are working out of the ground floor at Hemant Ram Apartments in Bangalore. It is unit 001. Having an office in an apartment building makes things feel a bit more relaxed. You don't have that cold, glass-and-steel vibe of a regular office block. We can hear the neighborhood sounds throughout the day. Our team is small and we know each other well. We focus on the details of the projects we take on. Usually, someone is sitting at the computer doing the accounts while others are out checking on the masonry or the painting work. We have a lot of samples lying around the floor, like tiles and paint chips. It can get a bit messy, but that's just how a construction office looks. We don't try to impress anyone with fancy furniture. We would rather spend that time making sure the work on-site is going okay. We handle things in a very hands-on way. If there is a problem, we go and look at it ourselves. We don't just send emails back and forth. It is much faster to just talk it out in person. Being in this part of Karnataka, we have projects all over. We just drive from one to the other and check the progress. That is our life at Ideb Inc.
