IDEA Centre Architects Pvt Ltd is tucked away on Curley Street in Langford Town. We are at number 3. It’s a pretty quiet street most of the time, which is a relief compared to the busier parts of the city. Langford Town has a lot of trees, so it stays a bit cooler here even when the sun is out. Our office is a straightforward space. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone sitting at a front desk. Usually, if the bell rings, whoever is closest just goes to open the door. Inside, it's mostly just long tables where we spread out our drawings and laptops. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who live on this street. The morning usually starts with some cleaning and getting the computers running. We spend a lot of time talking over things, sometimes arguing a bit about where a wall should go or how a roof should look. It’s just how we work. There are stacks of magazines and old blueprints in the corners that we really should sort through one day. The light in the office is okay in the mornings, but we have to turn on all the lamps by three o'clock. It’s a functional place for a small group of people who just want to do their jobs without a lot of fuss. We just try to finish what we started and go home on time.
