I V Y The Unwind Island

If you know Marathahalli, you know the traffic near the Prestige Tech Park is always a bit of a mess. That’s where we are, right across from it on the Sarjapur-Marathalli Outer Ring Road. Being near the Innovative Multiplex means there are always people moving around. I V Y The Unwind Island is our spot in the middle of all that chaos. We called it that because it felt like a bit of a break from the cars and the horns outside. The stairs up to the place can be a bit steep, so we tell people to watch their step. Inside, we have a lot of plants, though keeping them green in this heat is a full-time job. Some of the cushions on the chairs are getting a bit flat from everyone sitting on them, but they’re still comfortable enough. We spend a lot of time checking the speakers because the wiring acts up sometimes. Most of our regulars work in the tech parks nearby and come over when they’ve had a long day at the office. We see them staring at their phones until the food arrives. It’s a big space to keep clean, and the dust from the ring road never really stops coming in. We just keep the mops moving. It’s a loud area, but once you’re inside, the walls block out some of the traffic noise. We just stay busy and keep the doors open.
