Down in the Kengeri Industrial Area, you’ll find us at 125/1B1 on Mysore Road. This place is all about metal, welding, and big vehicles. We build the bodies for buses and coaches here at I Mac India. It is a noisy environment with the sound of grinders and hammers going all day long. The air usually smells like paint and hot metal. We have a big shed where the frames come in and we start building them up from the floor. It’s physical work, and the guys are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust by the end of the shift. Kengeri is a bit far out, but being on Mysore Road helps with moving the big chassis in and out. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll likely see us in our work gear near the welding machines. We’ve got a team that knows how to bend the sheets and fit the windows just right. It takes time to get a coach finished, and there’s a lot of measuring involved. We deal with various transporters who need their fleets ready for the road. It’s not a clean job, and the summer heat makes the shed pretty warm, but we keep the fans going and stay on schedule. We just focus on the steel and the wood and making sure the seats are bolted down properly. That is what a normal day looks like for us.
