Hunderdhands

Our place is over on Madras Bank Road, tucked away at No 9/2. If you’re looking for us, we’re right behind India Garage. It’s a central part of Bangalore, so traffic can be a bit of a nightmare during peak hours. Hunderdhands is basically just a group of us working in a space filled with drawings and models. It’s not very tidy most of the time. There are rolls of paper everywhere and someone is always looking for a lost pen or a ruler that went missing. We spend a lot of time sitting around a big table talking through ideas. Sometimes the ideas work and sometimes they don't, so we start over. It’s a lot of back and forth. The building itself is okay, nothing too special, but it gets the job done for us. We like being in this part of town because it’s close to everything, even if the noise from the main road gets in. We make a lot of tea and coffee to keep ourselves going throughout the afternoon. There’s no big sign out front that screams for attention. We just go about our business quietly. Some days are slow and we just look out the window at the cars going by, and other days it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day. It's just a regular workspace where we try to figure things out. People come and go, and we just keep at it.
