Howrah Bridge

You can find us in JP Nagar on the Dungarshri Nagar Chandra Nagar Road. The address is a bit of a mouthful if you try to say it all at once. We named the place after the famous bridge because we wanted to bring that specific style of cooking here. It is not a polished or high-end place. The chairs are just standard ones we bought when we opened. We have some pictures hanging on the walls but they have been there for years and are starting to fade. The kitchen is where all the real action is. We cook a lot of fish and use plenty of mustard oil. The smell is quite strong and you will notice it as soon as you walk in. Some people really love it. We do not use any fancy modern techniques in our cooking. It is just home-style stuff like we learned growing up. The staff speaks a mix of different languages depending on who is working that day. We get very busy on the weekends when families come in. They tend to stay for a long time and talk loudly. The place gets pretty noisy then but we don't mind. Sometimes we run out of fresh ingredients earlier than we expected. We just have to tell people we are sorry and move on. JP Nagar has grown a lot around us but we just keep doing the same things every day.
