Our shop is Home Automation India, located at 5-12-18 on Jawaharlal Nehru Road in R R Nagar. We’ve been here for a good while, watching the neighborhood grow. We work on making houses a bit smarter, putting in systems that control lights and security. The office is a mix of old furniture and new gadgets. It’s not a fancy showroom like you might see in a mall. It’s more of a workshop where we test things out before we install them. R R Nagar is a nice place to be based. We get a lot of locals walking in just to ask what home automation actually means. We try to explain it in plain English without all the technical jargon. There’s a few of us here who handle the installations. We spend a lot of time in people's attics or behind their walls running wires. It’s not always clean work. We don’t have a big marketing budget, so we mostly rely on word of mouth from people we’ve helped before. Jawaharlal Nehru Road can get pretty busy during rush hour, but we’re usually out on jobs by then. We like the practical side of things. If a system doesn't make someone's life easier, we don't see the point in it. We just keep doing our thing, one house at a time, right here from our R R Nagar base. It is a steady way to make a living and help folks out in the neighborhood.
