Hindustan Zinc Limited

In the Nesepakkam area of Chennai, specifically Jai Balaji Nagar, you’ll find our office. We are located at Plot Number 10, which is part of the KK Nagar West extension. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and small shops. The office for Hindustan Zinc Limited here is quite modest. We have a few rooms filled with desks, computers, and a lot of binders. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we have some old photos of the plant sites pinned up. It’s a place where we do a lot of the ground-level administrative work. There’s always someone on the phone or typing away. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a regular kettle and some mugs we brought from home. The street outside is usually full of parked bikes and people walking to the local market. We get a lot of natural light in the morning, which makes the office feel a bit more spacious than it actually is. Our team is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to fixing the printer when it jams. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but we stay busy. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just handle the local logistics and keep the records updated for the company. It’s a straightforward, honest place to work.
