Hardware Technician

You can find us over at 12, Bazaar Street in Adugodi. It is a very busy part of Bangalore and there is always a lot of noise coming from the street outside. As a hardware technician, the work usually involves a lot of sitting at a small bench with a magnifying glass and a soldering iron. People bring in their laptops that have stopped charging or desktops that make a weird grinding noise. It is a small place and we have piles of old monitors and keyboards tucked away in the corners. Bangalore is a tech city but there is still plenty of old hardware that needs a bit of life breathed back into it. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. When you walk in, you usually see someone hunched over a circuit board. The lighting isn't always the best but we make it work. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive and we have to explain that to the customers who are in a hurry. We just do the repairs and try to keep the costs reasonable because everyone is struggling a bit these days. It is not a glamorous job, just a lot of tiny screws and dusty fans. We know the neighbors around Bazaar Street and they know where to find us when their tech starts acting up.
