You can find Hajee Cma Sattar Khan & Co over at 37/20 Krishnarajendra Road, right by Narpatgiri Chowk. We are inside the Sattar Khan Mansion, which is a building that has been around for quite a while. Being so close to the City Bambu Bazar means there is always the smell of cut wood and a lot of activity on the streets. It’s a very traditional part of the area, and things haven't changed much over the decades. The office itself has high ceilings and old wooden doors that creak when you open them. We have stacks of ledgers and old records because that is how we have always done things. It gets very noisy outside with the carts and the vendors shouting, but inside the mansion, it feels a bit more quiet and steady. People walk in and out all day, mostly locals who have known the family name for a long time. We don't use much technology beyond what is absolutely necessary. Most of our day is spent talking to people and managing the various things that come through our doors. There is a sense of history here that you don't find in the newer parts of town. We just keep the doors open and continue the work that started here many years ago. It’s a simple setup, but it serves the community near the bamboo market well enough. We stay busy with the basics and don't feel the need for anything more complicated.
