Qasmi Translation Center

Qasmi Translation Center is based in the Habibullah Building. It’s a fairly quiet place compared to the workshops nearby. We spend most of our time staring at papers and computer screens. Translating words from one language to another is slower work than people think. You have to get the meaning right, not just the words. The office is full of dictionaries and old files. Sometimes the building gets a bit drafty in the winter, but we just wear extra layers. We handle all sorts of documents, from personal letters to more official stuff. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. People usually hear about us from someone else who used us before. The Habibullah Building is an older spot, and the hallways can be a bit dark. We’ve been here for a while and we like the location. It's central enough for people to drop off their papers. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the piles on our desks. It isn't a high-speed environment. We take the time needed to make sure the translation makes sense. We don't use those automatic computer programs for everything because they usually mess up the tone. Real people doing real work is how we've always operated. It might take a bit longer, but we think it’s better that way.
