Nagarathpet is always busy, and being in Keerthi Plaza on the 2nd floor means we hear a lot of the street noise from down below. The building is No. 119 if you are looking for the entrance. We have been here doing the work for a while, mostly looking at papers and handling whatever tax or account stuff comes in. The office is not very big, just enough for the desks and the piles of files that seem to grow every month. Sometimes the lift works, and sometimes it is better to just take the stairs to the second floor and get it over with. The area has changed a lot, but the crowds are still the same as they were years ago. Most days we are just buried in the routine of it all. It is not fancy here, just a practical place to get things done. We see many of the local shopkeepers and people from the neighborhood. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the windows help a bit with the breeze. Coffee comes from the small stall down the lane. Most of the time we are just focused on the books and making sure the numbers are right. It is a bit messy with all the documents, but we know where everything is. That is just how it goes for H M Giriya & Co. The walls could probably use some paint, but the work does not stop for that.
