Our shop is H K G N Tyres and you can find us at number 7 in Wilson Garden. We are located inside the Mahesh Industrial Estate. It’s a busy spot with lots of vehicles moving in and out all day. We deal with all sorts of tyres, so the place is usually stacked high with rubber. It has that specific smell that you only get in a tyre shop. We’ve been in Wilson Garden for a good number of years now. It’s a gritty area but it’s perfect for an industrial estate. The shop isn't much to look at, just a big space with tools and jacks. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. Most people just stand around and chat while we work on their wheels. It’s a dirty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. The traffic on the main road can be terrible, so getting in and out of the estate takes some patience. We have a small crew and we’ve known each other forever. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they saw the sign or someone told them we were here. It’s just a straightforward place where we fix tyres and keep things rolling. We just get on with it and try to get people back on the road. It’s a lot of heavy lifting.
