Gypsum Studio Designs

Gypsum Studio Designs is located at 730/B near Amar Corner in Vijaya Nagar. This neighborhood is pretty lively, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. Our shop is on a corner, so we get a lot of light during the day, which is nice. It’s a simple space with some workbenches and a few chairs for when people stop by. We don’t have a fancy waiting area or a front desk. If you come in, you’ll probably find one of us with dust on our clothes or holding a tape measure. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being able to see something being built from scratch. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance, which can be annoying, but that’s part of being in this part of Vijaya Nagar. We know most of the shop owners on this block. We trade stories about the traffic or the weather while we’re getting tea from the local vendor. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated plans. We just talk through what needs to be done and then we do it. The walls are covered in scribbles and notes we’ve made over the months. It’s not pretty, but it’s how we keep track of things. We just do our best every day and hope for the best. It's a lot of work but we enjoy the process of it.
