We are over here at 4th Cross in Bhashyamnagar, right in Srirampuram. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, and our place at number 198 is where all the tool making happens. Chandran started things off, and we just keep the machines running every day. The workshop isn't fancy or anything, it gets loud and there is usually some grease on the floor, but that is how precision work goes. People come by the shop looking for specific parts or just to see if we can fix something they broke. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or checking measurements under the light. Srirampuram has changed a lot over the years, with more traffic and new buildings, but our spot stays pretty much the same. We have the usual tools you’d expect and some older machines that still work better than the new ones. It’s mostly just us focus on the metal and making sure the sizes are right. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, then it’s back to the lathes. If you are looking for us, we are just past the main junction. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the stock piled up, but we know where everything is. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are just hands-on with the equipment. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here in Karnataka. Guru Precision Tools Pvt Ltd. is just a small outfit trying to do right by our customers.
