Our shop is down at number two on 3rd Main Road in New Tharagupet. If you know this area, you know it’s the heart of the wholesale trade in Bangalore. It’s loud, crowded, and there is always a lot of dust in the air. We deal in chemicals and fertilizers, so our place has a very specific smell to it—a mix of earth and minerals. We’ve got bags stacked high against the walls, and the floor is usually covered in a fine powder from the loading and unloading. We don’t have a fancy showroom. People come here because they know we carry what they need for their crops or their industrial processes. Most of our day is spent negotiating with suppliers or helping customers load their trucks. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a good kind of tired. We’ve been in New Tharagupet for a long time, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay. We don't believe in using big marketing slogans. We just show the products and tell people the price. It’s an honest way to do business. The traffic on 3rd Main can be a nightmare, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and keep the orders moving out the door as fast as we can.
