Jai Jalaram Timber Mart

Our timber mart is right on Bannerghatta Main Road, not too far from the Nice Road junction. If you’re heading towards Gottigere Village, you’ll see us there at 103/1. It’s a lot of wood, as you’d expect. The smell of sawdust is pretty much constant, which I actually quite like, though it gets everywhere. We’ve got stacks of different types of timber piled up, and it can look a bit messy to someone who doesn't know what they’re looking at. We spend our days measuring pieces, cutting things down to size, and helping people load up their trucks or autos. It’s physical work and your hands get pretty rough after a few years of it. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to the people who stop by. Sometimes it’s local builders, other times it’s just someone looking for a specific piece for a home project. The traffic on the main road can get really loud, especially with all the heavy trucks going towards the junction, but we just work through it. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. It’s a simple setup—a yard, some saws, and a small area to sit. We try to keep the stock moving so nothing sits for too long. It’s just a regular local timber yard where we try to be helpful and get the job done. We just do our best to keep up with the daily orders.
