Goodwill Hardware Stores

Down at 7 Silver Jubilee Park Road, things are usually a bit dusty and loud, which is how a hardware store should be. We have been here at Goodwill Hardware Stores for a long time, surrounded by other shops selling similar things. It’s a busy street, and finding a place to park is always a bit of a headache for everyone. Inside, we have stacks of stuff that people need for their houses or their construction jobs. It is mostly rows of bins and shelves filled with metal parts, tools, and things that smell like oil and steel. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a place where you tell us what you’re looking for and we go find it in the back or on a high shelf. The guys working here have been doing this for years, so they know where every nut and bolt is hidden. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact size someone needs, but we usually get there. The floor is concrete and shows the wear of all the heavy things being moved around. It’s a practical place for practical people. When the sun goes down and we start locking up, the street finally gets a little quiet. Tomorrow it starts all over again with the same noise and the same kind of work.
