Golden Wood Packers

Golden Wood Packers is set up at No.27/28 in the Peenya Industrial Area. We are on 5th Main Road, 3rd Stage. Being in Peenya means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. We specialize in packing things, mostly for the factories around here. We use a lot of wood, as the name suggests. Crates, pallets, and heavy-duty wrapping are what we do every day. The workshop is always covered in a thin layer of sawdust. I usually have a layer of it on my shoes by lunchtime. It is a tough environment, very industrial and loud. We don't have any air conditioning, just big doors that we leave open for the breeze. The 3rd Stage area is quite busy with all the manufacturing units. We have been here for years, and the neighbors are all in similar businesses. We talk over the fence about the cost of timber or the latest power cuts. It is a practical job. You need strong hands and a bit of patience to get the packing right. We don't do anything pretty, just solid and functional work. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us working through the night. It is satisfying to see a well-packed crate ready to be shipped out. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep our tools sharp. It is just another day of hammers and nails in the industrial heat. (258 words)
