Golden Gate Properties, Bangalore

We’ve been running Golden Gate Properties from this spot at P.M.Nivas in Plamoottukada for a while now. It’s a quiet area near Trivandrum, and most days start with checking the mail and seeing who’s stopped by looking for land or a house. Even though the name says Bangalore, we spend a lot of time here in Kerala dealing with the local paperwork and meeting people who want to buy or sell property. The office isn't fancy. There are some old wooden desks and a few chairs for when neighbors drop in to talk. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up doing more talking than typing. The weather here can get quite humid, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through from the coast. Most of the work involves going out to look at sites or sitting in government offices waiting for signatures. We know the roads around here pretty well. It's not a big corporate setup where everyone wears suits. We just wear what's comfortable for the heat and get through the day's tasks. Usually, it's just a couple of us handling everything from the phone calls to showing people around different plots. People in the village know where to find us if they need help with their land documents. We keep it simple and just try to stay on top of the local market without making a big fuss about it.
