Gokul Veg

Gokul Veg is over on Second Cross Lane in the Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar area, near Lokhandwala 7. It is a busy little corner of the world where people are always on the move. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it works for us. We serve vegetarian food because that is what we know how to do. The kitchen is small and gets very hot during the middle of the day, but the staff is used to it by now. We have a few regular tables and some chairs that do not always match perfectly. We do not go in for fancy decorations or anything that feels too corporate. It is just a local spot where you can get a meal without any fuss. Sometimes the street noise from Second Cross Lane gets a bit loud, especially when the delivery trucks are passing by. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the place tidy and making sure we have enough supplies for the next day. People from the nearby offices come in for lunch and they usually want to get back to work pretty fast. We try to keep up with them as best we can. There is no big secret to what we do here. We just show up, cook the food, and clean up at the end of the night. It is a steady way to make a living in RT Nagar.
