Our studio is at 39/B on the 15th Cross in Janikeram Layout. It’s part of R.S. Palaya. We’ve been taking photos here for a good while. The space is filled with backdrops, lights, and a lot of old camera bags. It’s not always the tidiest place because we are usually in the middle of a shoot or editing. We do a lot of weddings and family portraits. Sometimes local kids come in for school photos. I handle the camera while my cousin helps with the lighting and the backdrops. We have a small corner with a mirror where people can fix their hair before we start. The lighting in the alley outside is actually better than the studio sometimes. We do a lot of our work on the weekends because that’s when people have their events. During the week, it’s mostly just sitting at the computer doing the editing work. We don't have a big fancy sign, just a small one by the door. People usually find us because we did their brother’s wedding or their friend’s party. We try to make people feel comfortable because not everyone likes getting their picture taken. Some people get stiff in front of the lens. We just talk to them until they relax a bit. It’s a local business and we like being part of the R.S. Palaya community. The floor is a bit scuffed from moving the tripods around every day. We also have a small fridge in the back where we keep cold water for the clients who are waiting.
