Gastroenterologist Command Hospital

This is the gastroenterology department at the Command Hospital, located on Airport Road near the Air Force base. Because of where we are, the location is very specific and mostly serves the military community and people living in the surrounding areas. It is a large facility, but our section stays focused on liver health and digestive issues. You can always hear the planes taking off and landing at the airport nearby, which is just part of the atmosphere here. The building is quite old and the hallways can feel a bit like a maze if you are visiting for the first time. We spend our shifts seeing a lot of patients, doing check-ups, and managing the various gastro cases that come through. It is a busy, working environment with a lot of movement. We do not have fancy decorations or marketing posters on the walls. The focus is entirely on the medical equipment and the patients. Working in a place like this has its own rhythm, and it is very different from a small private clinic. There is a lot of structure, but at the end of the day, it is still about helping the person sitting in front of you. Sometimes the wait times are longer than we would like, but we just keep working through the list. It is a straightforward, busy medical department on Airport Road. We just focus on the stomach and liver work that needs to be done.
