Gangarams Book Bureau

Our shop is located at No.330/9 on the Inner Ring Road in Domlur. We are right on Axis Books Road, which is pretty close to the Indiranagar Domlur flyover. If you’ve been in Bangalore for any length of time, you probably know the name Gangarams. We moved to this location a while back. It’s full of shelves and stacks of books that sometimes reach the ceiling. We don't have a modern, minimalist layout. It’s more of a place where you have to wander around to find what you want. We carry all sorts of things, from textbooks to novels and stationery. It’s a bit dusty in the corners, but that’s just how bookshops are. We spend most of our day unpacking boxes and helping people find specific titles. We don't use a lot of fancy tracking systems; sometimes we just remember where things are. The noise from the flyover is always there in the background. It’s a busy part of town, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of pages turning. We aren't trying to be a giant chain or anything. We just like books and want to keep selling them to whoever is looking. It’s a plain and simple bookstore where we try to keep the stacks organized. Some days it is easier than others to keep it tidy.
