Galaxy Elevators

We are located at 1097 in the GIDC Estate, Banaswadi Phase II. It is an industrial zone, so don't expect any bright lights or big signs. We deal with elevators, which means a lot of heavy parts and cables are usually sitting around the floor. It’s a technical job, and things have to be right or they don't work. We spend a lot of time out at different buildings, but this is where we keep all the spare components and tools. The office is just a small corner with a couple of old chairs and a computer that’s seen better days. When the phone rings, it’s usually someone with a lift that stopped working or a project that needs a new installation. We don't do much talking; we just grab the gear and head out. Some days are long, especially if a repair takes more time than we thought. The tea stall down the road is where we usually go when we need a break. It’s a tough business because people rely on elevators every day and they get annoyed when things break down. We just do the work and try to keep everything running. The estate gets pretty dark at night, so we usually try to wrap up before then. It’s just a regular workshop where we fix things that go up and down. We have some grease on our shirts most days, but that's just part of the trade we chose years ago.
