You can find Frenchman Wood Coating at Door No. 38, on 26th Cross in Hbr Lay Out. We are tucked into the Hennur Extension area, right over near Nagvara. The shop usually has that strong smell of wood polish, lacquer, and thinners, which is something you just get used to after working here for a few days. We spend our time working on different types of protective coatings for furniture and structural timber. It’s a messy job, and our clothes usually have a few spots of dried varnish or sanding dust on them by the end of the day. We aren't a big factory or a high-end studio, just a local spot where we take wood finishing seriously. Sometimes the weather outside affects how the coating dries, so we have to keep a close eye on the humidity and the breeze coming through the door. It’s a bit of a balancing act every season. People bring us their old tables, new cabinets, or heavy wooden doors, and we figure out the best way to make them look good. The shop is often filled with the loud sound of sanding machines or the steady hiss of a spray gun. We don't have a fancy waiting room or brochures, just a workspace where the real labor happens. It’s steady work and we’ve gotten to know many of the local carpenters and builders in the neighborhood. We just try to do a solid job so that the wood lasts.
