We are located in Malleswaram, specifically at No 15 on the 1st floor of Saraswathi Complex. It’s on 5th Cross, and if you know where the Indian Bank is, we are right above it. Malleswaram has that old Bangalore feel that we really like, even though it can get incredibly crowded on the weekends. Our work is mostly focused on retail design, so we spend a lot of time thinking about how shops and stores should look and feel for people walking into them. It’s a specific kind of design work that involves a lot of thinking about lighting, shelves, and how people move through a space. The office itself is usually filled with sketches and models of different store layouts we are working on. Being above the bank means there’s always a bit of a crowd downstairs, but once you come up to the first floor, it’s our own little workspace. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now and we know the area well. We don’t really do fancy presentations; we just show what we’ve drawn and talk through how it’s going to work in real life. It’s practical work for a busy world. Sometimes we are out at different malls or high streets across India, but this Malleswaram office is where everything starts and gets planned out on paper and computer screens.
