We are tucked away behind the government school in Srinagar, specifically at Plot No. 14/4, 17th Main, BSK 1st Stage. Fibreabrasivemachineries Pvt Ltd is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It is a bit of a maze to find us if you are not from around here, but the locals know the spot well. We work with machines and abrasives, which is noisy and messy work most of the time. Our floors usually have a bit of dust on them no matter how much we sweep. It is just the nature of the business. We have a few guys who have been here since the start. We talk about the weather and the local news while we work. The building isn't brand new, but it is sturdy and keeps the rain off the equipment. We do not have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and help whoever needs parts or machinery. It is a practical place for practical work. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that is just part of life in this block. We aren’t looking to expand into some giant corporation; we like the size we are right now. It is easier to keep track of things when you know everyone’s name and what they are working on. We just keep the machines running and the orders filled as they come in.
