Down here at Innovative Polypack at No. 57 Byraveshwara Industrial Estate, the day starts pretty early. Being on Andrahalli Main Road in Peenya 2nd Stage means you’re surrounded by other factories and a lot of noise. Fibc Bags is where we spend our hours, mostly dealing with the big industrial sacks that move through the floor. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of machinery or someone yelling over the hum of the fans. The air feels thick sometimes, especially in the middle of the afternoon when the sun is hitting the roof. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the piles are stacked right so they don't topple over. It’s hard work, and your hands get rough after a few weeks. The address is a bit of a mouthful for people trying to find us for the first time, but once you’re in this part of Peenya, you just look for the gates. We don’t have any fancy carpets or air-conditioned lobbies. It’s a functional space with concrete floors and a lot of movement. Everyone here knows their spot on the line. We have our tea breaks out by the main road just to get a bit of fresh air and see the trucks go by. It’s just how things are done here every single day. We keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the orders.
