F M Eye Clinic & Surgical Center

F M Eye Clinic & Surgical Center is located at number 43 in the Shivaji Nagar area of Charkop, right opposite the G K Vale shop. It’s a busy corner of Kandivali West, and there’s always something going on outside our windows. Inside, we have the usual setup for an eye place—there are chairs for waiting, some displays with different frames, and the rooms where the actual eye exams happen. We have the big machines for checking vision and a space set aside for surgical procedures when those are needed. It’s not a shiny, high-tech lounge; it feels more like a workspace where we focus on eyes. People come in with all sorts of issues, some just need a new pair of glasses because they broke their old ones, and others are worried about their sight as they get older. The lighting is a bit bright in the exam rooms, which I guess is necessary for the work we do. We try to keep things organized, but on Saturdays, it can get a bit chaotic with families coming in together. The staff knows how to handle the equipment and they talk to patients in a normal way, not using big medical words if they can help it. It’s a practical clinic for the local community here in Kandivali, and we’ve been looking at eyes in this same spot for quite some time now, just helping out where we can.
