Eshwari Travels

Our little travel office is over in Madiwala, at No. 9/18 on the 1st Main Road in Maruthinagar Extension. If you know the area, you know the traffic here can be a bit of a nightmare, especially when the buses start moving in the evening. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. Usually, it’s just one or two of us sitting here, taking calls and trying to sort out travel plans for people. We have a lot of regular folks who stop by just to ask about prices or routes. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually read the paper for a bit. We don't have fancy brochures or a glossy website. We just tell people what we have available and try to get them where they need to go. The office gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside, but we make it work. Our drivers are mostly local guys who know all the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the Bangalore jams. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan because of the roads, but we do what we can. We like being part of the neighborhood here. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. Anyway, if you're ever walking by the 1st Main Road, you’ll probably see us there.
