Emeralds Stone World

Emeralds Stone World is located out in the Jigani Industrial Area, though we also have roots tied to Sir V Thackersey Road over in the New Marine Lines area near Churchgate. It's a bit of a trek between the two, but that’s how we’ve set things up. Our main work happens where the heavy stone is kept. We deal with big slabs of granite, marble, and other stones. It’s a very heavy, very dusty business. You spend all day around big saws and lifting equipment. It’s not the kind of place you’d want to wear nice clothes to. We are a small team and we’ve been working with stone for a long time. There isn't much we haven't seen when it comes to cracks or variations in the rock. We don't have a polished sales team. If you come by, you'll probably talk to one of the guys who was just out back moving slabs. We show people the raw material and let them decide what they like. It gets loud in the industrial area, and the heat can be tough in the middle of the day. We just focus on getting the stones cut to the right size and loaded onto the trucks. It’s a basic, rugged way to make a living. We don't do much marketing because the stone mostly speaks for itself. We just keep the machines running and the orders moving out the door.
