Electrical Engineers Consortium

Our spot is at 1438, Govindraj Nagar over in Bangalore. It’s a busy corner of the city, which is pretty much how all of Bangalore feels these days. As the Electrical Engineers Consortium, we basically just work out of this one building. It’s not some high-tech office in a park. It’s a regular, everyday place in the 560079 area code. We’ve got some desks pushed together and a lot of paper and blueprints scattered everywhere. Most of us have been working in different electrical jobs for many years, and we just gathered here to do our work together. The street outside is usually packed with scooters and people heading down to the local market. It gets pretty loud around the middle of the day. We don't really do much in the way of decorating the office. There are some spare parts sitting in the corner and a few old computers that we use for the technical drawings. People in the neighborhood know the building well. If the street lights flicker or something goes wrong nearby, they usually think of us first. We try to keep things simple and avoid all the corporate talk. We have our tools and our morning coffee and that’s about it. The traffic in Bangalore is always a mess, so we try not to leave the office too often unless a project really needs us on-site. Govindraj Nagar has changed a lot over the years, but this building stays the same.
