Edifice Builders

We have our little office on the 1st floor over at 4/2 on 1st Main Road in Vannarppet. It is a bit of a climb up those stairs every morning but it’s not too bad once you get used to it. Being here in Viveknagar means we are right in the middle of everything in this part of Bangalore. Edifice Builders is just a small group of us working on whatever construction projects come our way. Sometimes the traffic outside on the main road is so loud we have to shut the windows, but then it gets way too stuffy inside the room. We spend a lot of time looking at site plans and talking to contractors on our mobile phones. The small coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the whole place. We have been in this building for a while and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but we never seem to find the time to get around to it because there is always some other work to do. It’s not a big corporate setup with receptionists and fancy chairs. We just have our desks and our files and we get on with the day. Most people who come to see us are locals from around the Bangalore 47 area. We usually have some lunch together from the small place down the street and then get back to it.
