Earthern Hive Architects

Earthern Hive Architects is located out in the GIDC Estate in Malleswaram West. We are at unit 284. Being in an industrial estate means it gets pretty dusty and loud sometimes, but it’s where the actual work happens. We focus on getting designs right. It’s not always pretty in the office; there are rolls of paper everywhere and coffee mugs that haven't been washed in a few hours. That’s just how it goes when you’re deep into a project. We chose this spot because it is practical for us. Most of our day involves drawing or chatting with builders who are working nearby. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations for ourselves. The name Earthern Hive sounds a bit different, but we really just care about how buildings sit on the ground and work for people. Malleswaram West is a familiar neighborhood for our staff. We know where the good tea stalls are located nearby. If you’re coming to see us, just look for the number 284. The stairs to the office are a bit steep, so watch your step. We’ve been at this for some time now, just plugging away at various sketches and plans. Some days the ideas come fast, and other days we just stare at the site maps for hours. It’s a slow process sometimes, building something from nothing. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and we're usually at the big table in the back. It’s a simple setup for a small group of people who just like the work of architecture.
