D.Y. Uppar & Co.

D.Y. Uppar & Co. is based out of the Sadashiv Nagar area in Bangalore. Specifically, you can find us at No. 148/6-1 on the 5th Cross in the RMV Extension. It is a relatively quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the rest of the busy city. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time now. The office setup is very straightforward. We do not have a big neon sign or anything like that out front to grab attention. It is a residential-feeling area, which makes coming to work a bit more pleasant than being stuck in a glass high-rise in the middle of downtown. Inside, it is just a bunch of us working at our desks. There is usually a pot of coffee going somewhere and a lot of talk about the current projects we are handling. We do not really follow a strict corporate dress code or have formal meetings for everything. Most days it is just regular clothes and getting the paperwork sorted out. The 5th Cross is easy to find if you know the landmarks near RMV, but new visitors sometimes take a wrong turn because the house numbering in Bangalore can be a bit of a mystery. We like the trees around the building; they keep the place a bit cooler in the hot afternoons. It is a practical space for the work we do. We are not trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just need a place that works.
