Durga Traders

Durga Traders is located over at number 176 in Vishveshwaraiah Puram. It’s a place where we spend most of our daylight hours. Trading is basically about knowing what people need and having it ready for them. We’ve been in this neighborhood long enough that the surroundings feel like home. The shop isn't massive, but it’s packed with what we need. Dealing with suppliers and customers takes up the whole day usually. We handle various goods, nothing too fancy, just regular items people look for. Sometimes the stock arrives late or there’s a mix-up with the billing, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It's just a few of us here. I usually open the shutters early in the morning. It’s nice when the air is still cool before the Bangalore heat kicks in. Customers come and go, some we know by name, others are just passing through the area. We try to keep the shelves organized, but it can get a bit messy when a big shipment comes in. You learn to work around the clutter. It’s a steady kind of life, keeping track of inventory and making sure the ledgers are right at the end of the month. Nothing too exciting, just honest work in Vishveshwaraiah Puram. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and everyone paid.
