Drapes Avenue

Drapes Avenue is sitting over at 37 Lady Curzon Road in the Ramanashree Chambers. We are near Tarte Colony and Karve Road. If you know the area, it’s a spot where people come when they are tired of looking at bare windows. We have rolls of cloth everywhere. Some are heavy for keeping the light out, and others are thin and let the breeze through. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and the walls are covered in samples. It’s not a shiny, modern showroom. It’s more of a working shop where we measure things and talk about hooks and rods. We spend a lot of time helping people decide what color won't clash with their sofas. Lady Curzon Road can be tricky with parking, but people still find their way to us. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. We just show you what we have and tell you how it will hang. Sometimes we are busy with big orders, and other times it’s just someone looking for a small piece of trim. We know the fabrics well because we handle them every day. It’s a dusty job sometimes with all the lint, but we like seeing the finished rooms. Ramanashree Chambers is a familiar landmark for most locals. We just stay here, surrounded by cloth, and help folks fix up their houses. It is a bit crowded in here but we know where everything is kept.
