Doortec

Doortec is tucked away in J P Nagar at 468. It’s a nice enough part of town, though finding parking on our street can be a headache sometimes. We focus on doors, obviously. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big front desk or anything like that. People usually just drop by when they are renovating their homes. We keep things pretty casual. Our workspace is filled with samples and bits of wood or metal. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where every sample is kept. We spend a lot of time talking about hinges and frame widths. J P Nagar has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here at number 468. We don't do much in terms of promotion. Most of our work comes from people walking past or neighbors telling each other about us. Sometimes we have to close up for an hour if we all need to go out for a site visit, so it’s always better if people call ahead. We aren't a big factory. We are just a small shop that handles door installations. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just like making sure a door closes properly and looks alright. It’s simple work and we enjoy the routine of it. We just take things as they come and try to stay busy. Most of our days are spent measuring things out and explaining how the different types of wood handle the weather here.
