Dirt Mania

Dirt Mania is out on Kanakapura Road in the Goregaon (East) area. It is a bit of a trek for some people to get out here, but we have plenty of space which is what we need. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, which makes sense given the name. It is a place where things get messy and loud. We have some equipment and tracks laid out, and it takes a lot of work to keep the dust down during the dry season. We spend a lot of time outdoors, so we are all pretty tanned and used to the weather. There isn't a proper building, just some basic structures to keep the rain off and a place to store our tools and gear. We don't have a clean office or a place to sit and have coffee. It is more of a boots-and-jeans kind of place. We spend our days maintaining the area and making sure things are ready for whoever shows up. Sometimes the mud gets everywhere after a heavy rain, and we have to spend hours cleaning up. It is not a place for people who are afraid of getting a bit of dirt under their fingernails. We keep things simple and don't bother with much decoration or fluff. It is just a wide-open space on the edge of the city where we can get the work done without bothering too many neighbors or worrying about the noise.
