Dignity Hardware Stores

Dignity Hardware Stores is located at 155/1 Sadar Patrappa Road. It’s right there near the intersection of the Two Hundered Feet Sardar Patel Ring Road and the Ambli Bopal Road. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of things like hammers, nails, pipes, and buckets of paint. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space. Most of our customers are builders or people trying to fix something at home. They come in with a specific bolt or a piece of pipe and we have to find the match. It’s dusty work and our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the metal and the wood. The traffic on the Ring Road is always moving, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines outside. We don't have a computer system that tells us where everything is; we just know where we put things. Sometimes it takes a minute to dig out what a customer needs from the back. We’ve been here for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. But the need for hardware stays the same. We don’t do big advertisements. People just know that if they need a tool, they can come to Sadar Patrappa Road and find us. It’s a basic, hard-working store for basic, hard-working people.
