We’ve been here at 501 Ganganagar for a while now. Most people know the spot because it is right near Bengali Sweets. You can usually smell the samosas or the chats if the wind is blowing the right way. Our office is on the second floor of Shanti Kunj. It’s not a very big building but it works for us. Getting up the stairs is a bit of a workout every morning but that’s just how it is. Inside, there are a few desks pushed together and a lot of paper everywhere. Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in files but we manage to keep things moving. We usually have the fan on high because it gets pretty stuffy in the afternoons. It’s mostly just us doing our work and dealing with whatever comes through the door. There’s a guy who brings tea around 4 pm and that’s usually the highlight of the day. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some old chairs and computers that sometimes take a bit too long to start up. The neighborhood is busy, especially in the evenings when the food stalls open up downstairs. We try to finish up before the traffic gets really bad, but that doesn't always happen. It's a decent place to spend the day even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come. It is nothing special but it is ours.
