You will find us out at Plot 137, which is basically right next to the Bangalore International Airport in Devanahalli. Most days, the sound of jet engines is just background noise for us here at Dhl Express Indi Pvt Ltd. It is quite a drive from the city center, and if you are coming from the main part of Bangalore, you know how that highway can be. Sometimes it takes forever, other times it is a smooth run. The office itself is just a functional space. We have desks, some old chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has time for that. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons when the sun reflects off the runway tarmac nearby. We usually just crack a window or turn on the fans. There is a small tea stall not too far away where most of the guys go during the break. The security guard at the gate has been here forever and knows everyone by name. It is not like the big corporate offices in the tech parks. We deal with boxes and trucks every day. The dust from the Devanahalli roads gets everywhere, so we are always wiping down our screens. It is a simple place to work, really. We just show up, do the sorting, and head home when the shift is done. It's practical and busy.
